Stingy在这里就是指“吝啬的。小气的”，例如：He was reputed stingy.（他吝啬得出了名。）

2.What a miser! 真是个吝啬鬼！
Miser做名词，意思是“守财奴，吝啬鬼”。听说Jenny最近要结婚了，Bless her from marrying a miser.（上天保佑她不要嫁给一个吝啬鬼。）
